IAO POSTER AWARDS 2017
The 1st International Congress of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO) will offer the opportunity for clinicians and researchers to present their studies and share their experience in the field of dental implantology.
Clinical research studies, basic research and case reports (divided into young clinical case and advanced clinical case), may be presented. The accepted abstracts will be presented, as posters in electronic format, during a dedicated session and subsequently published in the Documents of the Congress on Quintessenza International & Jomi.
All the Authors present in the poster are required to pre-register to the IAO by October 10, 2017.
Failure to pre-register will result in the cancellation of acceptance of the abstract.
Each abstract may have a maximum of five (5) authors *. Each author may appear as a presenter in a single abstract, but may be co-author in an unlimited number of abstracts. Abstracts previously published or submitted may not be submitted for evaluation.
* In the presence of multi-site studies or special cases, after verification of adequate documentation by the examining committee, the number of Authors may be increased.
THE ABSTRACT AND CONTENTS
All abstracts must be written in English, although their presentation may also be in Italian.
The candidate must create the abstract, using the appropriate forms, and send them to IAOPOSTERAWARDS2017@iao-online.com

It is essential to use the available form for compilation. Abstracts sent without using the prepared forms will not be considered for evaluation.
After sending the form, the Author will receive an email confirming receipt. In the event that this does not happen, we suggest trying to send it again, or contacting the Delegated Administrative Office.
A PRESENTATION FOR A CONGRESS
The official poster that will be presented at a congress must be laid out following the rules and using the following template:
The abstracts submitted will be evaluated by the members of the Scientific Committee. The reviewers will judge the abstracts by evaluating: the scientific/ clinical relevance, English standard, objectivity, description of what has been done, suitability of the methods with respect to the pre-established objectives, congruity of the conclusions with respect to the results obtained, ethics, scientific value, potential clinical value, and originality of the work. Confirmation of acceptance of the abstract by the Scientific Committee will be communicated by e-mail to the presenter by October 4, 2017. Please make sure you use a valid e-mail address when submitting the abstract because this address will be used for all subsequent communications.
FOR ACCEPTED ABSTRACTS
The authors selected for the presentation of the posters will be assigned a specific space for the presentation, which will be made in digital format during Friday, October 20, 2017, at the dedicated IAO Young Corner area. The following rules must be followed:
The best poster of the four categories will receive the following award:
The opinion will be issued by members of the Scientific Committee during the poster presentation sessions on Friday, October 20, 2017, in the dedicated IAO Young Corner area. In the event of a tie, the youngest presenter in terms of age will be considered the winner. The committee reserves the right not to appoint a Winner if the submitted works do not obtain a sufficient minimum score.
The winners will be announced on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the plenary chamber at 8:45 am.
